AXON's portfolio of routing and master control systems is well known for cramming huge functionality into compact hardware. The product family scales up from a diminutive 16x16 unit to powerful 1152 x 1152 systems, enabling a wide range of machine and audio/video signal control and connections. There's even a remarkable 4096 x 4096 router for multi-channel audio.
AXON's product portfolio now includes an entire range of routing and master control systems for distribution to European, Middle East and African countries. Herewith an overview of the different available routing systems that comprise intricate networks of audio and video signals:
NV5128, multi format router
The NV5128 is a multi-format 8RU 128 x 128 modular router that supports all current digital and analog formats such as High Definition, Standard Definition, analog video, analog audio, AES, time code, and bi-directional RS-422 data.
NV5128MC, multi channel master control switcher
The NV5128MC utilizes the same 8RU frame as the NV5128 router. The system supports up to 4 channels of SD or up to 2 channels of HD master control per frame. Routing and master control may be combined in the same frame if desired. Internal Dolby E decoding is an optional feature.
NV7512 TDM Audio Router
The NV7512 digital audio/time code router utilizes Time Division Multiplex (TDM) technology, to enable true mono channel switching and linear expansion to 4096 x 4096 mono channels. Both analog and digital signals are supported and no external converters are required to mix and match AES3, AES3id, time code, and analog audio signals. All aforementioned capabilities are housed in the same 14 RU matrix frame.
NV8256-Plus, 256 x 256 expandable digital video router
The NV8256-Plus has input and output modules available for SDI, HD-SDI, and analog composite (NTSC/PAL) video. Analog input signals are decoded and converted to SDI with 10-bit resolution. Analog output modules encode and convert digitally switched SDI signals to analog with 10-bit resolution. This video router can be easily expanded to 512 x 512 by adding a second frame. The system will accept any mix of input and output modules in its 22RU matrix frame.
NV7256, digital audio/time code router
The introduction of the NV7256 digital audio/time code router was the first to employ Time Division Multiplex TDM) technology to provide features like true mono channel switching and linear expansion to 2048x2048 channels. The standard NV7256 and NV7256-Plus systems are in continuous use in broadcast and post production facilities around the world. In addition to all of the features of the field-proven NV7256, the NV7256-Plus provides support for analog as well as digital signals. Now you can mix and match ES3, AES3id, analog audio signals, and time code. All in the same frame, with no external converters required.
