Doremi Labs' MCS-HD Server sets a new standard in video server value and performance. The MCS-HD features two record and two play independent HD video channels with shared storage and selectable compression rates.

The MCS-HD quickly integrates into a facility's existing operations. It features a front panel that mimics familiar VTR controls and is compatible with Odetics and VDCP automation protocols as well as the P2 protocol. It can record all popular high definition and standard definition video formats.

The MCS-HD features JPEG2000 video compression of the SDI and HD-SDI inputs. JPEG2000 is particularly suited to HD video compression. It can provide near uncompressed quality video using a fraction of the storage required with uncompressed systems.

Highlights:

* Records video using JPEG2000 video compression selectable from 15 to 300 Mbits/sec.
* Frame accurate control via RS-422 or Ethernet
* Accepts Odetics, VDCP and P2 machine control protocols
* Compatible with leading broadcast automation systems
* HD-SDI and SDI in/out
* Up to 6 channels analog and 8 channels digital audio
* Front panel video monitoring LCD screen (option)
* Internal storage or external RAID-5 dual-redundant power supply (option)
* Built on a dedicated video hardware platform
* Video transitions fade, wipe and dissolve

ListMaker Software

Doremi Labs' MCS Server sets a new standard in video server value and performance. The MCS Server was designed to enhance and quickly integrate into a facility's existing operations. The front panel mimics familiar VTR controls for ease of operation, while the rear panel offers a complete set of analog and digital video interfaces. It is compatible with P2, Odetics, and VDCP (Louth) protocols to facilitate control from popular hardware and software controllers.

The MCS Server's modular design offers a simple upgrade path towards additional video channels and storage. When additional video channels are required, MCS Servers can be networked together for up to 8 video channels. If internal storage options are maximized, the server can be connected to Doremi Labs' external RAID5 storage chassis.

Upgrading to a digital video server from a tape-based operation offers many advantages. Video servers provide instant access to thousands of hours of video programming. Servers can also be configured with multiple simultaneous record and play video channels.

Highlights

* Records video using MPEG2 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 video compression selectable from 5 to 50 Mbits/sec
* Frame accurate control via RS-422 or Ethernet
* Accepts Odetics, VDCP and P2 machine control protocols
* Compatible with leading broadcast automation systems
* Composite, S-Video, YUV/RGB and SDI in/out
* Up to 6 channel analog and 8 channel digital Audio
* Front panel video monitoring LCD screen (option)
* Internal storage or external RAID-5 dual-redundant power supply (option)
* Built on a dedicated video hardware platform
* Back to back record and play
* Video transitions fade, wipe and dissolve

Applications:

* On-Air Broadcast Server
* Broadcast Time Delay
* Two Channel Sports SloMo

Remote Control via Third Party Controllers and Software
The MCS Server supports the Sony P2, Odetics and VDCP protocols supported by numerous manufacturers.

Remote Control from Doremi's ListMaker Software
ListMaker provides full support of the MCS Server's multi-file capability. Manage files, create video segments and more. ListMakerPL also features extensive playlist creation capability at an additional cost.

Software Control
ListMaker provides remote management of the MCS Server plus optional play list creation capability. ListMaker simplifies the management of hundreds of hours of video recordings. It provides individual transport controls for each independent record or play channel. Each new recording can be placed in existing files (clips) or in new files and accessed simultaneously by any play channel.

ListMakerPL
Play List Operation
ListMakerPL is available for additional cost for play list operation. Highlights of the video recording, based on time code in/out points, are created within each file. The highlight segments can then be assembled into live-to-air play lists and executed manually or automatically. Changes to the play list can be made while it is running on-air. Execute the play list in one of four different modes (immediate, manual, absolute time, and relative time from an offset).

TSS-100 Server

Performs DTV Time Delay
Delay any DVB-ASI Stream
Up to 13 Hours of Time Delay
100Base T Ethernet Control Port
Serial Machine Control

The TSS-100 performs time delay of any DVB/ASI digital television format up to 75 Mbits/sec, including High Definition 1080i, 720p. 480p and standard definition 525 and 625 line video. A DVB-ASI signal fed to the TSS-100 can be delayed up to 13 hours. All video, audio and ancillary data on the signal are fully preserved. A simple Java based user interface communicates with the TSS-100 via 100BaseT Ethernet. The interface allows the user to set the desired delay time and start the delay process. The TSS-100 also accepts standard machine control commands via its serial RS-422 connector..

Features:

* Delay any DVB-ASI stream (up to 75 Mbits/sec)
* MPEG-2 encoding bit rate up to 160 Mbits/sec
* Up to 13 hours of delay time
* 100BaseT Ethernet control port
* Serial Machine Control
